OASIS INTERDENOMINATIONAL MINISTERIAL FELLOWSHIP
COVENANT GRACE MINISTRIES
PASTORS EDWARD & NANCY KHAOYA
COVENANT GRACE MINISTRIES
We started in the year 2001, our vision is based on the scriptures in Matthew 9: 35 "And Jesus went about all the
cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and
every disease among the people."
We are preaching the gospel in the villages and in the cities worldwide. The Lord brought to my understanding that
much of the work of God has been done in the cities, but very little has been done in the rural areas, the Lord prepared us
and gave us grace to move and minister in both cities and in the villages so that the Word of God can equally be preached.
God has particularly
blessed me with College, High Schools and University Ministries. IWe ministered to 16 Missions to Schools, Colleges
and Universities. We had a week-end challenge in one Teachers College that was attended by 3 high schools, one University
3 Teacher's Training Colleges and 1 Bible School and 1 Farmers Training College. Our Mission brought together 4000 students
and at least 700 peoples gave their lives to Jesus.
The Word of God says that where there is no vision people perish,
but I have also discovered that where there are no people, vision also perishes.
FORUM IN EAST AFRICA
Apostle Loretta Williams
recently discussed with Pastor Edward Khaoya his plans to have a forum with community leaders, pastors and government official
on FGM. This is an excerpt of their conversation.
Edward Khaoya: I had just said that ,this is a year of Traditional Circumcision and Female Genital Mutilation in our community and I feel the Lord leading me to begin an initiative against it.
Apostle Williams: Yes, I am aware of such practices in Africa.
When I was last in Nigeria, I met with
the pastors wives, and women in the churches to discuss this and was relieved that most of them had not endured this practice,
yet I was told of those who have suffered because of deep rooted tradition.
Edward Khaoya: These functions are always characterized by events of idol and ancestor worship and the initiates
receive very immoral teaching during that time too difficult for them to depart from even when they grow old. Besides this,
one out of every 8 children gets infected with HIV aids during the process and at least six out of 100 die due to infections
or negligence related to handling the initiates. For example one traditional circumciser’s knife can cut up to 50 children
and so HIV viruses are easily transferred from one infected child to another.
Apostle Williams: I believe that to begin an initiative against it,
the men and women in the community must be educated and taught why it should not be done.
It is not God's order for a woman to be circumcised, nor is it no longer required of men as under the law, we are living
and saved by Grace.
The Desk of Apostle Loretta Williams:
I am thankful that the Lord
has allowed me to continue to serve Him as an Apostle sent to the Nations to bring Unity and the Gospel of our Lord Jesus
Christ to all those who will receive me as His Messenger!
As many of you
know, I have been blessed to go to Africa (Nigeria) in recent years and we have been blessed to do a great work there with
the leaders of various churches and denominations, we started with (15) pastors and ministers in 2005 and have expanded to
approximately 60 churches and ministries that include West Africa and we have recently organized within East Africa, Kenya
and Uganda. Each District has an appointed official that represents our organization in their community and State.
Your contributions and donations will be to support
Rev. Edward and Nancy Khaoya who are the Senior Pastors of Covenant Grace Missions in Kenya, Africa.
FORUM IN EAST AFRICA
Edward Khaoya: Every year in the Month of July my ministry holds Community health trainings and the Lord has impressed it on my heart to initiate a campaign against these practices Next Month. I have invited 300 men and women of influence including, Local
government Chiefs, political leaders, traditional circumcisers, Teachers and other professionals for a forum where we will
discuss these as a community and have them support our initiative. These training will take two days, and as usual I will
include teaching and preaching and giving an opportunity for people to give their lives to Jesus. We are also praying about the possibility of providing an alternative
form of initiation: We want to believe God to provide funds so that we can offer safe circumcision to at least 500 young men
aged between 13-19 years in the month of August and put them in a camp for one week where we will teach and instruct them
on the ways of God which even when they grow old they will not depart from them. Our ministry is involved in other issues
of community development including community health trainings which we do every year in the month of July. If this successful
we are going to save lives of the young men and women that could have died during the process.
· We will save at least 50 young men from the possibility of HIV
infections, because even traditional circumcisers will be taught the importance of using one disinfected knife per child.
· Our Community training will help people in the community to have
positive image of women that have not undergone FGM,
· FGM will be a thing of the past in this community,
· Our children will have the rights of passage training from a
Christian point of view in which they will not depart even when they grow.
